巴鲁克学院
自由学院转型成为纽约市立大学(College of the City of New York)，于1919年由该校的商学与土木管理学院独立出来。
1930年开始招收女性学生，1935年已经有4万余名学生，其中有1700位学生就读于商学研究所。
当时主要的学生是无法负担私立大学学费的犹太与意大利移民。
1965年时为了感谢荣誉校友Bernard Baruch捐助学校9百万美金，遂于学校名称前面加上Baruch，改名为巴鲁克学院。
